The Erskine Nature Trail takes walkers on boardwalks over the wetlands that traverse the Ramsar-listed Peel-Harvey estuary. This is the largest and most diverse estuarine complex in south-western Australia, a key destination for tourism and recreation, particularly popular for boating, fishing and crabbing.

There are numerous viewing platforms as well as a bird hide that showcases an opportunity to stop and watch some of the tens of thousands of waterbirds, including large numbers of migrant shorebirds from the northern hemisphere, that use the estuary and lakes each year.

The bushland provides plenty of shade and a number of seating alcoves along the way, where if you are quiet enough, you may see a resident kangaroo or local quenda foraging for food.

Although the path is not sealed, it is well maintained and is suitable for wheelchairs and prams.

This walk is suitable for anytime of the year, but especially nice in late winter and spring when the wildflowers are in bloom.

Great trail for an easy walk that's kid and pet-friendly. Sections on boardwalk accentuate it well.

Marvellous. Tranquil. pet friendly. abundance of flowers in spring. A beautiful migratory path for birds. Len Howard did so well to fight for this to be protected. A must see
