The Trails Reference Group (TRG) is a cross-agency, organisation and community reference group that influences and guides the strategic planning, development, implementation and communication of the Western Australian Strategic Trails Blueprint 2022 - 27.
By 2027, we want to see Western Australia’s trails connect more people to Country through shared experiences in diverse landscapes, resulting in greater community, social, cultural, economic, environmental, health and wellbeing outcomes for Western Australia.
The TRG provides input into trails development and policy proposals identified within the Western Australian Strategic Trails Blueprint 2022 - 27. To find out more about our purpose and the way we operate, have a look at our Terms of Reference.
The WA Strategic Trails Blueprint 2022-2027 (the
Blueprint) is an overarching guide for consistent
and coordinated planning, development and
management of quality trails and trail experiences
across Western Australia. It provides a vision,
guiding principles, strategic directions and
actions for consideration across the state
by government, trail managers, landholders,
trail organisations, tourism operators and the
community.
As a cross-agency, organisation and community reference group, we aim to represent a variety of interests and work collaboratively to further the objectives identified in the Strategic Trails Blueprint. Meet our current Representatives and the organisations they represent here.
Dwellingup has been crowned Australia’s Top Tiny Tourism Town at the 2023 national Top Tourism Town Awards.
