Enjoy a day trip along the Denmark Farm Gate Trail. From Denmark Visitor Centre, travel along Scotsdale Valley Road until you reach Harewood Estate Winery.  The Harewood label was established in 1986 and in 2003 James Kellie (then winemaker for Howard Park and Madfish Wines) purchased the property.  A winner of many James Halliday awards, this winery is a great place to commence this trail.

Next, head to Ducketts Mill Wines & Denmark Farmhouse Cheese. Primary producers of fine wine, cheese, fudge and preserves, you will find a fabulous array of locally made products as well as platters and tastings.

Continue on to the Denmark Animal Farm and Pentland Alpaca Stud.  At this hands-on animal farm and wildlife park, you can pat, cuddle and feed a huge range of friendly and interesting animals including alpacas, rabbits, chickens and joeys.

Head towards South Coast Highway and you will pass Inner Vision Studio. This stunning gallery is run by Melanie Allan, a polymer clay artist, and also has a wide variety of fresh produce for sale.

Take the time for a little side trip to enjoy the stunning coastline scenery of William Bay National Park and stop at Greens Pool for a chance to dip your toes into the clear water of this popular beach.

Back onto the trail, head to Bartholomews Meadery. This is a family-run honey business producing honey, mead and its famous ice cream. Spot the queen bee in the glass beehive and choose from many bee and honey related gifts.

From the Meadery, continue on to Jassi Leatherworks where you can try on handmade sheepskin ugg boots and other sheep skin products. Jassi Leatherworks use sustainable and renewable materials, with everything made onsite.

Finally, visit the Denmark Toffee and Good Food Factory where you can sample their toffee and sauce selection, play soccor golf and other games in the garden. Enjoy a cider and arguably the best burgers in the west, followed of course by one of Australia’s biggest and best cones.

Not a bad drive trail at all but can get a little bit pricey if you decide to buy everything you sample haha
