I stumbled across the Vancouver Lookout and Heritage Trail awhile back as I stopped in a parking bay on Vancouver Rd in Frenchman Bay to have a look at the lookout, having absolutely no idea that it was linked to a trail. With a bush type setting overlooking coastal views I grabbed the camera and water bottle and began a new adventure, a little excited at my new found discovery. It seems to have been a community centenary project trail from 2001 in partnership with the City of Albany, Frenchman Bay Association and Waters and Rivers Commission.
Trails are free and bring so many benefits to our community by providing opportunities to have fun, get fit, socialise, explore and challenge yourself. But they also have to be managed and maintained which only is made possible through terrific sponsors, donations and/or volunteering.
