The Old Timberline Trail is a Class 2 walking trail and Easy mountain bike trail. The trail meanders through some lovely forest along the banks of the St Johns Brook and the ruins of a 100-year old once-spectacular railway bridge. The trail passes by Workmans Pool and Barrabup Pool, offering an opportunity to dip in the cool water and a blissful relief in the warmer weather.
Join the Sidings Rail Trail at Cambray Road, south of Cambray Siding, to complete the Timberline Loop (48 kilometres). Otherwise backtrack to Nannup Foreshore Park or arrange a lift at Cambray Road (4WD recommended).
There are several vehicle access points along the trail where you can choose to walk or ride a shorter section if desired. Some of these access points are via unsealed road and may be suited to 4WD only.
