Situated in the Darling Ranges, John Forrest is the oldest National Park in Western Australia and passes through varied vegetation types, including heathlands, open wandoo woodlands and mixed jarrah marri-wandoo forest.

The Little Eagle Walking trail provides visitors with the opportunity to explore unique sections of the Park. The trail starts on the Eagle View Walk Trail before heading east along a ridge line that provides spectacular views over Jane Brook. You then descend into a secluded valley where the trail meanders beside a seasonal brook. The trail then climbs through Wandoo woodland back to the Wildflower Walk.
