Trails WA supports the seven principles recommended by Leave No Trace Australia for minimising your impacts when using the trails.
Learn moreThis trail offers riders the opportunity to head out from Collie and experience a fun flowing mountain bike trail through Westralia Conservation Park with plenty on offer for both experienced and inexperienced riders.
The trail starts at Minninup Pool and runs alongside Collie River Scenic Drive to Coalfields Road, allowing riders to experience a cross country style trail with fast and flowing descents and plenty of climbs that will keep the legs pumping. A 300m technical moderate (blue) alternate line offers riders the chance to test their descending skills. When a breather is required, riders can stop at the Djinang Koorliny. Lookout or the Kaniyang Wiilman Bridge and take in the views of the river valley.
The trail motif features a kylie (boomerang) based on the shape of the trail and the Ngarngungudditj Walgu (hairy-faced snake), which created all the rivers and waters and then came to rest in Minninup Pool. When the moon is full and high in the night sky, you can see his spirit resting there. That’s what makes this place so important and special.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of these lands and waters, the Wiilman people of the Bibbulmun Nation, and pay our respect to elders past and present. Please tread lightly and respectfully on this land and enjoy your visit.
