The first 6 km, from Minninup Pool to Soldiers Park, is sealed and suitable for prams and wheel chairs. The remaining 3 km to Telfer Pool on Lynne St is a gravel track.
The trail is all flat.
There are picnic facilities and toilets at Minninup Pool, Fred Scharf Lions Memorial Park and Soldiers Park, making the trail popular with families and children.
Keep an eye out along the river for a variety of water birds. The wildflowers are very pretty between July and November.Â
The trail crosses the river at a number of places, including the Swinging Bridge, about 500 metres upstream from Soldiers Park.
Parking is available at Minninup Pool, Fred Scharf Lions Memorial Park, Soldiers Park and Telfer Pool providing a number of different options, instead of walking or riding the entire trail.
Minninup Pool is a lovely deep spot along the river for swimming.
