Travel along the Holland Track to follow in the footsteps of early pioneers who made their way to the Goldfields in search of their fortunes.

The Holland Track was created in the late 1800s as a short lived alternative route to the Goldfields. The track provided a route for much needed supplies to Coolgardie and the surrounding Goldfields, and was used by many fortune seekers who arrived in Albany port from the eastern states.

The track passes through rugged bushland and woodlands. This area is remote and it is recommended that you have a high clearance 4wd, emergency communications and recovery equipment. Much of the northern part of the track is a narrow single lane track, and rain will make much of the track slippery, with muddy washouts. The track conditions can vary, so stock up on food, water and fuel, and contact the local Visitor Centre for current track conditions.

A returned traveler, we noted extreme damage has been done to the heritage Holland track during the wetter months. Be prepared and perhaps travel with more than one vehicles. A fabulous tribute to explorers and the custodial land carers. The trail is a diverse trail of fauna and flora with many stunning Eucalyptus species and the wee little Thorny Devil Lizards warming their bellies on the sand. Well worth the three days to travel and thank you to the Toyota Club for their preservation of the track..
