This trail is named after the traditional Noongar group (Wiilman) and the Noongar word for river (Bilya).

The Wiilman Bilya Walk Trail commences near the Hamilton peninsula just to the west of Collie and provides a link to the Wellington Dam recreation area and runs adjacent to Potters Gorge in the Wellington National Park.
