Did this today - Mundaring Weir hotel car park to Northam, it took just under 4 hours.

Be careful of the aggressive magpie near Wundowie at about the 37km mark if you're leaving from the weir and it's swooping season, they're much bigger in the country than they are in Perth, holding my bike above my head and walking backwards while looking at it seemed to work and it eventually flew away.

I got lost once at Clackline, ended up on Spencer's Brook road and had to turn around and cross the creek.

When you get to the WaterCorp facility near Northam, stay right.

There is a section towards Northam after the Army facility, after you cross back over the highway which is quite overgrown and took a minute to find the track, there aren't really any signs you can see and I only found it because someone had previously rode through the long grass and flattened it.

Overall I enjoyed the ride though I feel it could be signed better in places.
I would definitely do it again.

I completed this trail over 10 years ago with a friend.
We didn't pace ourselves well and had over 30km to hike on our final day, but it was a great experience!
We found our own little campsites along the way and followed the LNT principles.
I'd like to go back one day and experience it on a MTB, perhaps travelling the opposite direction.

Completed on 05/09/2020. The trail is not as challenging and spectacular as many sections of the Munda Biddi, but still a pleasant ride through some farmland and beautiful countryside. Winter and spring the best time to ride, medium level of fitness required given the distance. One thing to note is that in several sections the trail runs relatively closed to the highway, so there' s no real wild feeling. The trail is generally well marked but the GPS route is still recommended. Overall, I would recommend this trail, if done at the right time of the year and with reasonable expectations

Lovely long ride. Most signage good but dontake the map. We gave up trying to find the trail once near the army facility and went on the highway, same on way back, highway to Eadine (?) st.
Stayed at Duke Inn. Cheep room in hotel, nice bathrooms down hall and pub meal for dinner. Lovely old building and a bed- fancy.
Plenty of possible food stops on the way- bonus.

Rode this track from Mundaring Sculpture Park to Lake Leschenaultia (Kep track goes past a trail leading into the lake area), easy flat riding. One cross of Great Eastern Highway and a few roads. Relaxing ride through some forest sections and bush borders the trail. Downhill jumps located before turn off at Mt Helena. Great trail to increase kilometres into a ride with options to do the Railway Heritage Trail and Goat Farm Downhill.

Im re-reviewing this track because I have now done the full length from Northam to Mundaring. If you are going to ride a 75km trail, then obviously you ride it for what it is - not for a challenging test of your bike skills, but for a pleasant cross country adventure through changing scenery, beautiful landscapes, and varying terrain. And for that, it is great. Maybe Im biased, I had perfect weather and the track was as quiet as it could be. I didnt see a soul for the first few hours and apart from the physical challenges I found the ride very relaxing and enjoyable. As a result I would have given this 5 stars without a second thought, but for the appalling lack of directions and signs. I spent the first hour of the day pedalling around northam trying to find the start of the trail, and once I did I had to turn around a few times when I took a wrong turn, as well as spend a bit of time sitting still scratching my head.

Havent ridden the full track but I find it a great ride for beginners or those who want a day off from the demanding stuff. Plenty of clean singletrack with a few little fast sections thrown in. If you wander off the trail you can actually find some pretty demanding fast and/or technical descents to test your skill on, and you can also ride it at a level to really test your abilities. Yesterday I managed to throw myself down an almost 90 degree decline, only 5 metres from the main trail, and pulled off a lucky escape from a 20km/h downhill corner slide.
