Learn moreAbout Yardie Nature Walk, Cape Range National Park
The Yardie Nature Walk is a gentle introduction to the spectacular landscape of Yardie Creek Gorge, located one hour’s drive (2WD) south from Exmouth in Cape Range National Park. This 0.6km trail (1.2km return) is classified as Class 1 and follows a well-maintained path along the edge of the gorge.
The trail offers breathtaking views of the red limestone walls, the tidal creek below, and the vibrant blue of the Ningaloo Reef beyond. It’s a great option for families or those looking for a shorter, more accessible walk with excellent photo opportunities.
Yardie Creek is the only permanent water-filled gorge in the area, with saltwater fed in from the ocean. This unique ecosystem supports mangroves and provides a haven for marine life and birds. Keep an eye out for birdlife and possibly even the elusive black-footed rock wallaby along the cliffs.
