New Hall
Opened in 1982, noting that plans were drawn up in 1971!
Post Office (c. 1930's)
C. 1930's, following the abandonment of the ''Lot 3 PO''
Fettler's Hut
1921, originally home of Ellen and John Pratley
Ganger's Shed
Storage area for the ganger's trolley and other equipment
Length Runner's Hut
Used for overnight accommodation in-between 'runs'
Yonkoff's Mound
Grape vines and citrus trees were once tended here.
Ganger's House
The Ganger was the 'foreman' of the maintenance gang
Miscellaneous Huts
Small, basic huts constructed during the 1950's
Fettler's House
Once boasting an extensive vegetable garden.
Machinery Loading Ramp
Constructed in the 1950's from railway sleepers.
Ballast Pit
Excavation area for use on the railway line.
Stock Yards
A large milled timber constructed yard.
Fettler's House Hodges
The remains of the garden can be seen, especially in spring.
School Teachers House
Constructed in 1964, now a private residence.
Roads Board Well
This lot (6) was declared a water reserve in 1909
Breen's Store & Residence
Opened in 1927, four rooms covering 9m x 6m
Post Office - Lot 3
The Post Office moved to this location in 1908
Old Wannamal Hall
A Grand Ball celebrated its opening in 1912.
Wannamal Siding
The railway reached Wannamal in 1891.
Bridge
Original creek crossing, used until the early 1970's

During your walk you will pass through 26 historical sites dedicated to the pioneer men and women who toiled hard to establish the area.

*Camping in Wannamal*
Camping is available at the Robert Hindmarsh Rest Area (Tail starting point). This is a free gravel overnight rest area with toilet and BBQ facilities. Unpowered. Suitable for caravan's wanting to stay overnight for 24 hours only.
