This is a fairly easy walk through a range of marri, wandoo, brown mallet, and  rock sheoak woodland, with a wealth of spring wildflowers. Little pink fairy, stark white spider, sugar, jug, red veined shell orchids, and hairy-stemmed snail, cupped, and brown-banded greenhood orchids grow in the valley section. The trail will have four interpretive signage points soon (2022):

  • Spider orchids: Stylish stars of springtime
  • Greenhood orchids: Plain but ingenious
  • Triggerplants: Nature's gorgeous gunslingers
  • Ochre: The colour of nature

Much of this trail is shared with cyclists, who are expected to ride slowly and give way to walkers.
