Built in 1988 as one of the heritage trails created to mark Australia's Bicentennial, the Uredale Point HT takes you out on the Vancouver Peninsula, along two stunning beaches and towards the rock cairn marking the spot where Captain George Vancouver claimed this area for the British in 1791.

Starting along the beautiful cliffs above Whalers Cove, the walk takes you through wildflower filled woodlands and on towards the loop section that lets you walk along the pristine Brambles Beach. The climb up to Point Possession provides some of the best views of King George Sound before you head down to the picture perfect Barker Bay Beach. Be sure to bring your swimming gear in summer as there is a good chance you will have the beach all to yourself.

A diverse snapshot of landscapes. Beaches, hills, rocks and views. Great day walk with plenty of walkers & dogs along the trail.

This trail should keep its 5 stars. Easy carpark and navigation. Beautiful beaches along the route (I had one to myself, and the water is so cold). Took about 2 hours and I took my time, I had a swim, and took lots of photos. My watch said 6km at the end of the trail.

Great walk. Fairly easy, with some inclines that may not be suitable for some people. Excellent views and can easily be completed in 2 hours at a steady pace.

Lovely hike with mix of terrain and great views. Go at low tide to ensure there's some beach on the inlet side. Took us 1.5 hours at fairly relaxed pace.
