Learn moreA picturesque walk through 96 hectares of native bushland and wetland. Star Swamp is an A-Class Reserve with significant heritage importance.
It includes an informative 1.4km Heritage Trail that runs from the Henderson Environmental Centre in the south, to Mary Street in the North. The reserve also provides countless opportunities for birdwatching and to see native wildflowers, orchids, and a chance encounter with a Quenda, all in the middle of suburbia.
Limestone trails are plentiful throughout the reserve, allowing walkers to ‘choose their own path’ making the reserve ideal for walkers of all fitness levels.

The trail ends at the carpark at the end of Groat Street, or continue back to Beach Road.
This walk can be enjoyed the whole year round, but is especially beautiful in September-December

All abilities access, flat, even, hardened surface with no steps or steep sections. Suitable for unassisted wheelchair users and prams. Clear directional signage. No bushwalking experience required.
