Learn moreTreat yourself to a detour down to Nature's Spa where water trickles across the large flat granite rocks and collects in small pools. This area is just a short walk west along the Boardwalk Trail from the Cascades Carpark on Thompson Road, along the south side of the river.
The Roley Pool area has been used as a local swimming hole for many years and is part of Roleystone folklore.
A wide and diverse range of wildlife can be found in and around this section of the river, with many native ducks, kingfishers, Quenda, kangaroos, wallabies, several species of fish, snakes, lizards and Australia's only native water rat, "Rakali" residing there.
