Learn moreAbout Red Bluff Lookout Trail
Red Bluff is an iconic natural attraction that should be high on your list of places to visit in Kalbarri. Known as an important navigation point for early Dutch mariners sailing these waters over 300 years ago, Red Bluff is the perfect vantage point to take in the views and ponder the lives of the Nanda people and the first Europeans to explore this section of Australia's coastline.
Red Bluff towers 100 metres over the Indian ocean below and is the ideal spot to see the migrating humpback whales making there way along the Kalbarri coastline. The landscape of Red Bluff will blow your mind with it's delicate threads of red rock in formations believed to be 400 million years old.
The Red Bluff Lookout Trail is a short 1km return walk departing from the carpark out to Red Bluff Lookout along a sealed path to the point where you take in views of Red Bluff Beach, Jakes Point, the mouth of the Murchison River and Meanarra Hill.
