Mount Glemont Lookout offers great views across the Savannah woodlands and flood plain to distant ranges. The edges can be a bit unstable so take care when enjoying the view.
From the Charnley River Wilderness Camp you are looking at a 15km drive and a mere 166-metre fairly steep loop walk from the trailhead. It’s one of the closer landmarks to the campsite on the Charnley River Gorges map. A Charnley River Gorges map is available at the Charnley River Wilderness Camp office.
Although distances of the map seen fairly short to all the gorges, you have to allow more time than you think as the roads are rough. We suggest setting out early morning to avoid returning in the dark when wildlife and cattle like to share the road. Better still, stay a couple days and do it at a leisurely pace and allow time to enjoy nature.
