To stretch the legs, before leaving Meekatharra, why not walk the 900 metre trail to Meeka Lookout . Start at the Tourist Information Bay then follow along side the Gascoyne Junction Road for a short distance before veering left and upwards to the lookout for some great views.

Take on the not too steep rocky well formed path to the top observing springtime wildflowers along the way.The views over the town and beyond show the harshness of this mining pastoral area.

Interpretive signage informs about the Aboriginal culture of the area, pastoralism and how gold mining shaped the region. By walking around the flat topped hill with carpark, you can get expansive 360 degree views.
