Golden Jersey is a rider owned and run bike shop in Cowaramup. Situated at the head of the Wadandi Trail it’s the perfect place to start your Margaret River mountain bike adventure. This beautifully restored historical building offers an eclectic mix of fuel, groceries, espresso bar, ice cream and cellar door tastings from a favourite local winery. Grab a coffee or some gelato while you browse the modern fleet of mountain bikes available to hire.

This easy to ride wine trail has been designed to allow locals and visitors alike the tools to visit the “Dress Circle” of Margaret River wineries without being contained in a motor vehicle.
Make your way through some of the world’s best wineries, stopping for a self packed picnic lunch, or dining in one of the best winery restaurants in Australia.
Finish you ride, back to the bike shop, through the iconic Margaret River forest for that perfect end of tour experience. Remember to drink responsibly while cycling.

Group D (Drive trails)
- Research your trip well in advance. Good preparation is essential as distances in Western Australia are huge and facilities are limited. Visit the website associated with each drive trail for in-depth travel information.
- Carry maps, spare parts, a first aid kit and plenty of food and water to last your journey
- Visit the ‘Travelling in Outback Western Australia’ website for information regarding travelling in the Outback. Permits may need to be arranged in advance to enter into some areas which are on private property.
Additional Useful Items
Your first stop is at Blue Ginger where you can collect supplies for a self catered picnic lunch and coffee and cake for the perfect start. Cape Mentelle is only 4km away and your first taste of what is to come. Tell the cellar door staff that you are on a cycle trail and they will let you out their back gate and into Xanadu Wines located behind. Leave by cycling down Xanadu’s driveway and on to Boodjidup Road which leads you to Stevens Road and Voyager Estate. Leaving Voyager Estate continue down Stevens Road to Leeuwin Estate. Return via Stevens Road to Gnarawary Road and turn right. 3kms east on Gnarawary brings you to the Wadandi Track. Turn left and head north to return to the township of Margaret River or Cowaramup.Trail Start
