Did this one years ago and back then I think it was grade 3 but needed to be 4 so good to see it's been changed as it is quite a challenging trail but has some absolutely amazing views.

Liked: Great view of the city minimal flies and bugs, half the trails has tree cover.

Disliked: More difficult than the rating says, I wouldn't take new hikers on this gets steep real quick with loose sand, trail start was difficult to find.

Recommendations]: Be prepared for the sun to get you. wear real hiking shoes so you don't slip on the sharp inclines, download the maps before you go because you can get lost easily.

Comments: Overall Enjoyed the hike, nice length, nice views, fairly easy with sudden difficult bits.

This trail is not a grade 3 and closer to a grade 5. The trail has some significant inclines with quite rough gravel sections. We had planned to go for a quick gentle hike given the grading had not come overly prepared for the difficulty. It was a nice location but would have been nicer if we had either planned for the difficulty or had been able to chose a different trail because this one was correctly rated.

Got lost trying to find the trail using my phones GPS. The entrance to the carpark is just off Welshpool Road East just before Gladys road on the left, it is opposite a petrol station. the trail is through the white 'gate' the furthest away from the road.
The trail is very steep in some parts (both up and down) and hardly any signage. We were able to complete the loop track only because we had downloaded the trail map to refer too. Views were okay and there was quite a lot of horse manure. A nice trail to run.

A lovely walk. If you follow the guide you can find your way around pretty easily. Some signage about native flora would be a good addition.

Just starting out hiking with my wife. Both relatively unfit in this experience so thought we'd try this walk as a starter. Disappointed that there are a number of tracks leading off from the carpark but no signage. We walked for an hour os so but did not find any loop track. Enjoyable just the same and the views were fantastic.
