Learn moreThe Lewis Road Walk is a difficult 5km loop trail through the Mundy Regional Park, taking in stunning views of Perth city, Swan Coastal Plain, Regional Parklands, and the Darling Scarp. With some steep climbs and loose descents with slippery gravel, some bushwalking experience is advised.
The trail passes through wandoo woodlands, with red gums and small jarrah trees among some of the lush native flora on show, with magnificent wildflowers during wildflower season (August to October). The trail commences at the carpark at the northern end of Lewis Road, 20 kilometres from Perth, and only 10 kilometres from Kalamunda. This is the same starting point as the easier Whistlepipe Gully Trail, which heads west from the carpark.
The trail markers for this trail are red, although signage is scarce with no trailhead so please consult the trail map and trail notes, available at the City of Kalamunda website in the links section.
