Kurliiny Tjenagitj means 'come and see' in the local Noongar language and this trail certainly does that. Follow the Jabitj Trail along the river from Honeymoon Pool, before climbing high above the valley floor to a lookout with panoramic views over the valley and surrounding hills.

From the lookout the trail descends less steeply along a four wheel drive track, until it meets the Munda Biddi Trail. As you make the final descent back to the river, the track becomes quite steep again in places.

Parts of this trail are dual use, so be aware of approachiing mountain bikes.

The wildflowers are spectacular between August and November.

Honeymoon Pool is a campsite and picnic area, offering more than 20 campsites among trees beside the Collie River. You can enjoy swimming, canoeing and fishing. You can also walk to the Wellington Dam Kiosk from here on the Jabitj Trail.

We loved this trail.
We left Honeymoon Pool and followed the purple footprint markers upstream along the river to the bridge, across River Rd and kept following the river until the trail turned left and up the hill to the look out. The scenery along the first part of the trail, following the river is spectacular. There are sections of rapids and still quiet pools that you could swim in during the warmer weather.
After about 1.5 km the trail heads north and then the fun begins. The bush is quite dense and the climb gets very steep, but suddenly you are at the top and the views are fantastic.
From this point you can either go back down the way you came or continue on and complete the loop. The remainder of the loop was pretty easy going compared with the climb up the hill and passes through a variety of different types of forest.
I highly recommend this trail to anyone with a moderate level of fitness. We lost track of how long it took us but allow about half a day.
A couple of options are to leave your car at the bridge and just do the climb to the lookout and back for a shorter walk or take a mountain bike and access the lookout from the north via the Munda Biddi Trail.

I would rate this a 10! Absolutely STUNNING. I would recommend this trail to anyone with a basic fitness level, the incline at the begging was challenging. The remainder or the trail was quite easy and flat. Bring some bathers and towel, there's some lovely spots you can have a swim in the river on the way. At the begging of the trail you have the option to go straight, or turn right off the track. We did the turn off and hiked the hill first. Then as we almost returned back swam in the river. It's absolutely beautiful the entire hike. Highly recommended. We parked our car at honeymoon pools campsite, walked to the bridge and that is where we found the trail. If in doubt, follow the river UP stream along the ROAD not a bush track and you'll find the trail- it's the purple one.
Deffinatly will go again. This hike is perfect for summer or winter.

Wonderful Trail. We actually chopped a few kilometers off the trail by parking at the bridge rather than the Honeymoon Pool campsite. No real harm done though. We also walked the trial anticlockwise which I feel is the best way as you approach the lookout slowly via the ridge so suddenly, bingo, what a great view!
Descending the trial from the lookout down to the river was a little slippery and needed care. In wet weather it could be diabolical. Well worth it!

Super hard up. But rewarded with a stunning view over the valley.
The up trail is a fraction overgrown at the moment. But still one of my favourite sections.
Nice walk or a punishing trail run, I love it.
