Learn moreAbout King Jarrah, Manjimup
King Jarrah is lucky to still be here. In the early 1900’s, two sleeper cutters had plans to fall this giant. Fortunately for King Jarrah, this dastardly plan reached the ears of Fred Brockman of the Lands and Surveys Department just in time. He raced out to the tree and blazed a broad arrow on it which signified that it was the property of the crown and couldn’t be cut down. When the sleeper cutters arrived at the tree early the next morning, they realised that their plan had been foiled.
This 600m trail is suitable for everyone whether they have two feet, four paws or if they're using prams or wheelchairs to get around. It's always a beautiful walk but it's even more spectacular when the wildflowers are blooming between September and November.Â
In addition to the walktrail, gas barbeques, sheltered picnic tables and toilets make King Jarrah the perfect place to spend an afternoon.Â
