Roley Pools has been used as a local swimming hole for many years and is part of Roleystone folklore. The walk along the river's edge encompasses a variety of terrain such as giant Granite and Dolerite outcrops.

A wide and diverse range of wildlife can be found in and around this section of the river, with many native ducks, kingfishers, Quenda, kangaroos, wallabies, several species of fish, snakes, lizards and Australia's only native water rat, "Rakali" residing there.

The Heritage Walk Trail can be accessed from the Cascade Car Park on Thompson Road or from Heritage Drive, Roleystone.

This 3.2 kilometre trail can be added to the Roley Pools Boardwalk Trail to create a 5.8km trail.

We love to hear from people who've been on our Western Australian trails, so it would be most appreciated it if you wanted to leave a review.

The walk is easy, and fairly well marked. I've rated three stars as there isn't a lot to the trail as far as viewpoints, it does however lead onto Nature's Spa which is fantastic and a must! It's not too long either so is a good short trail if you just need to get out and is dog friendly!
