The #heartofgold Discovery Trail will take you back to the early gold rushes with augmented reality, remarkable audio stories, fun widgets, vivid videos, timeless photos and interactive games via the free Heart of Gold Australia app.

The interactive, self-guided trail will take you to 12 locations of signifiance in Perth city as you learn its golden story and how gold changed the cityscape and secured the economic future of Western Australia and the nation.

Trailblazers will receive a commemorative #heartofgold medallion and go in the draw to win a real gold nugget from Ramelius Resources.*

The Heart of Gold Australia App is available to download from your iTunes or Google Play app store.

Tip: Stop for lunch at the State Buildings, Stirling Gardens or Government House on the trail and why not see a live gold pour when you complete the trail at The Perth Mint.

I'm a sucker for a good exploration trail, ideal for the taking the kids out for an adventure in the city.
