Wherever you find lots of river red gums, you find water or at least a dry creek bed. River gums host a wide variety of birdlife, including various finches, corellas and birds of prey. Linger for a while under a shady tree and take in nature.

Most able-bodied people should be able to complete this trail without too much effort. The well-marked trail ends where Kotka Gorge Trail starts. This provides a bigger challenge.
