Situated in the Darling Ranges, John Forrest is the oldest National Park in Western Australia and passes through varied vegetation types, including heathlands, open wandoo woodlands and mixed jarrah marri-wandoo forest.

The Glen Brook Trail provides a number of different options for a range of park visitors. Several bridges and linking trails allow for shorter options close to the carpark. For the more adventurous, the full 4.5km loop trail provides visitors with opportunities to explore the southern section of the park including the headwaters of Glen Brook.

Keep a lookout for marker posts amongst the rocky outcrops to ensure you keep to the marked trail.

A great walk with the family. Just enough of a climb to make it interesting but not enough to induce small people whining!
We did the long loop which is well marked out, there is clearly only one trail so pretty easy to stay on track.

Great short walk through woodlands and grass trees, with kangaroos and many birds. This National Park is a close drive from Perth, with fantastic views over the city. A nice short escape!

A fantastic family friendly trail suitable for little ones and not too long. A great addition to a picnic and adventure.
