This is a relatively easy trail, mostly single track, firm sand or gravel, with a short sealed section to the Iain Wilson Lookout and a section of wide fire trail at the other northern end.

Stunning views across to Mt Lesueur, Mt Michaud, down into the gully, out to the ocean and across the park. You can see for miles due to the low heathlands. You will see occasional stands of Wandoo and plenty of birdlife enjoying their space.

If you are feeling energetic you can combine this walk with the Lesueur Trail, a distance of 5.3km.
