This is your chance for an epic adventure! Are you a superfit, thrill seeker that wants to ride the entire 82km loop or will you choose to take it a little easier and ride between the Walpole and Giants trailheads? Either way, you won't be disappointed. If you choose the shorter option, you'll need to leave a vehicle at either end or sweet talk someone into picking you up at the end.
This Epic Tale takes in nearly every trail in the Giants Trail network and shows you some of the most beautiful areas of the Walpole Wilderness.
From Walpole, follow Once Upon A Time, Kingia's Landing, Riverrun (one way), the Munda Biddi Trail and the Glass Slipper to the Giants Trailhead. The return journey (or the ride from Giants Trailhead to Walpole) takes in Glass Slipper, Gatekeepers, the Munda Biddi Trail, Wonderland (one way), Labyrinth, Robin's Hood and Once Upon a Time.

This is an 82km loop that can be started from the Walpole or Giants trailheads.
Elevation
This route has long, winding ascents, fast flowy descents and everything in between.
Trail Start
You can start this route at the Walpole Trailhead or at the Giants Trailhead near the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk.
Trail End

Mountain Bike
Easy
Recommended for beginner riders with basic mountain bike skills. Typically flowing, open trails on firm terrain with gentle gradients. Surface may be uneven, loose or muddy at times. Riders may encounter small rollable obstacles and technical trail features.

What To Pack
What To Pack
Group C - Mountain Biking & Gravel (Mountain bike, gravel and touring trails.)
- Always ride with a buddy and ride within your skill level
- Bike tools and spares (E.g. Mini bike-pump, spare tubes, puncture repair kit)
- Helmet, consider a full-face helmet for more difficult trails
- Water
- Snacks/ food
- Sun protection: sunglasses and sunscreen (SPF 30+)
- Additional protective gear: gloves, body armour
- For remote trails consider a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) or satellite phone
- For longer trails take extra food and water
- Always have a first aid kit (vehicle nearby or on you for longer trails) and check that items are clean, properly sealed, have not exceeded expiry dates and that used items have been replaced
- Extra food and water in case of unexpected delays
Hazards & Warnings
One section of this route takes riders high above the Frankland River with steep drop offs. If you are afraid of heights, this may not be the ride for you.

Be aware of obstacles such as fallen branches or trees along trail.
