This walk begins at the Irwin River Mouth Lookout, Church Street. You will see a path that leads into the sand dunes follow this to Town Beach, head south along the beach until the bird hide, here you will need to take the trail up along the river until the turn off at Hunts Road.

Head north along Hunts Road past the current Police Station, the old Police Station and Courthouse which is now the Museum and then the Visitors Centre. Turn left at the roundabout and walk along Church Street. On the opposite side of the road you will pass the Cemetery where there is a memorial to the Dominican Sisters and buried here are the grandparents of Sir David Brand, Premier of WA 1859-1971, also believed to be the first white girl born in the Swan River Colony on the beach at Fremantle and many local families from the District.

This walk ends back at the Lookout.
