Wellington National Park protects 25,000 hectares of forest in Western Australia's South West, serving as a critical refuge for threatened native animals and over 300 wildflower species.

The forest is predominantly made up of Jarrah, Marri and Yarri / Blackbutt trees, intersperced with Banksia groves and more open granite outcrops. In the cooler months during late autumn and winter, fungi and mosses can be found throughout the area. In spring, the wildflowers bloom, inlcuding colorful Banksias and Grevilleas, Clematis vines and Darwinia shrubs, and smaller plants such as sundews, triggerplants and orchids. 

Over 150 species of birds live in the area, including Black Cockatoos (Red-tailed, Carnaby's and Baudin's), fairy wrens, robins and Currawongs. Threatened mammals such as the Chuditch (Western Quoll), Quokka, Woylie (Brush-tailed Bettong), Southern Brown Bandicoot, Western Ringtail Possum, and Brush-tailed Phascogale can also be spotted. The park's granite gorges and fallen logs provide excellent camouflage for the Carpet Python.

Did this trail on 22 May 2020. Was heavily overgrown and several fallen trees/bushes on track.
Not a purpose built single track MTB trail, seemed more like a hiking trail. Not particularly interesting but quite challenging in the steep ups/downs and washed out sections.
