The Breakaway trail is one of three trails which starts and ends at the Marri picnic area in Foxes Lair. The trail provides a view of Narrogin Valley. It is a good spot for bird watching and you may see kangaroos in the early morning.

Rough surface due to ironstone outcrops on the trail adjoining the breakaway.

Facilities

There is no running water or toilet. There is a toilet is at the cemetery on the north east corner of Foxes Lair. Please pick up after your dog and take any rubbish with you when your leave. There is a rubbish bin at the parking area, where the road through Foxes Lair exits at Range Road.

Best time of year

August to November is the best time for wildflowers.

Trail Access

Narrogin is 200 kilometres south of Perth. Enter Foxes Lair from Williams Road (opposite the caravan park) and stop at the first (Marri) picnic area.
