Enjoy this short and easy walk to have a relaxing stroll through nature. Yellagonga's wetlands are a haven for wildlife, including resident and migratory birds, swamp turtoises and tiger snakes. The Beenyup Swamp boardwalk and walktrail was established to enable visitors to complete a circuit of Beenyup Swamp, a shallow wetland in the heart of Yellagonga Regional Park, where you can forget for a moment that you are still in suburbia. 

Start at the northern entry point to the park off Woodvale Drive and take the limestone path over the boardwalk amongst Flooded Gum and Freshwater Paperbark stands. Continue along the limestone path over the bridge and veer left. Turn left at the shared path and continue along for 800m where you veer left onto the limestone path and continue back to Woodvale Dr and your starting point.

Regional Park is a leafy oasis in the heart of the northern suburbs of Perth. Short, easy walk, perfect for busy couples/families.

Easy walk even with an ordinary pram. Good directions inside the park and little gem places along the boardwalk and little tracks next to swamp.
