Bunnitj Biddi (formerly 10 Mile Brook Trail) is a walk/cycle trail named after Bunnitj, an ancestral Wadandi Traditional Owner. The trail winds its way through Wooditjup National Park between Margaret River's Rotary Park and the Rusden Picnic Site at Ten Mile Brook Dam. Much of the Bunnitj Biddi trail follows old timber tramway formations through forests of karri, marri, jarrah and blackbutt, with peppermint in the wetter areas. The 7.3km trail has a mix of surfaces including compacted surface and course gravel, with some gentle slopes, and steps in places that lead to the water's edge.

Connected to the Bunnitj Biddi trail are two optional trail routes that can be used to extend your journey. These provide an alternate route between the Rotary Park and Rusden Picnic Site when the Margaret River and some sections of Bunnitj Biddi become impassible due to flooding during winter. The trail surface on the optional routes is rougher than the main trail, with loose gravel in some places and moderately steep slopes.

In addition to the optional routes, the Bunnitj Biddi Trail also connects other local trails such as the Barrett St Trail and the Wannang Biddi Trail, both of which have bridges over the Margaret River.

Depth markers are provided at the ford. Do not proceed to cross unless you are certain about the river depth and your ability to cross safely.

Two optional routes connect into the main trail, providing a winter diversion route around the ford crossing and other trail segments that typically become flooded as the river rises. To check for which route to take, check signs at the trailhead or DBCA Park Alerts

This trail was absolutely beautiful up to the 2.2km mark when we came across a sign to say the trail was closed from Sept 2017 until July 2018. No other warnings on any other website we checked before driving the couple of hours to arrive there. We were disappointed to say the least. We went to the local Tourist bureau which pointed us on another trail and then we had a lovely lunch, making the day of it as much as possible. . We will definitely be back in 2018 to walk the whole trail.

I found this trail most beautiful in the cooler winter months as the bush really becomes a vibrant green. Either end of the trail has ample carparking facilities though i perfer to start/finish my walk or ride at the Rotary Car park, because the Hairy Marron bike cafe is there for coffee afterwards. The trail is easy with a few rocky/gravel inclines. It is a lovely half day walk.
