Urban Walk

The pleasures of urban walking are inevitably different from those of rural walking: you'll find plentiful features of historic interest, public transport, refreshments and other facilities near at hand and, sometimes, a surprising sense of solitude.

Urban walk trails are prolific in most major towns across Western Australia, and will often provide insights into the history, local culture and aboriginal heritage within the area.

Kings Park located on the west side of the CBD is a wonderful escape and is home to our much loved Boab tree as well as a huge amount of thoughtfully curated regional flora displays, including some incredible wildflowers. Take the Lottery West Federation Walkway to the DNA Tower where you'll be rewarded with sprawling views over the Swan River and surrounding city. Aboriginal Cultural Tours are available at Kings Park where you can be guided by one a traditional owner and learn about thier connection to country.

The Perth coastline is lined with dual-use footpaths, cafes, restaurants and shops, and you'll find similar offerings in the towns further North or South from Perth.
