Foxes Lair Nature Reserve Trail Network

Nestled on the outskirts of Narrogin town, Foxes Lair offering a tranquil bush reserve experience. Situated between the Darling Range and Wheatbelt, the reserve showcases diverse landscapes, flora, and avian life from both regions. Boasting over 240 flowering plant species, the reserve comes alive with blooms between August and October, offering a continuous display for keen observers.

Foxes Lair is a 68-hectare nature reserve right on the edge of the town of Narrogin. Whether you are an avid bush walker, bird watcher, or wildflower enthusiast, or love native animals, trees, photography, natural rock formations, or history, you will find them all at Foxes Lair.

The landscape in Foxes Lair is diverse, ranging from gravelly uplands and breakaways to large granite boulders and cool valleys. Three picnic areas and five walking trails enable you to explore them and their special wildflowers and wildlife (leashed dogs are welcome). By far the busiest time of the year is wildflower season (starting late July depending on rainfall) and running through to November. Explore the intertwined beauty of nature and history as you wander through the arboretum and remnants of the rifle range and early worker cottages.
