  • Less than 1 hour
  • 11 km
    • Mountain Bike Moderate

Recommended for moderate intermediate riders with some technical mountain biking experience. Typically narrow trails with loose, soft, rocky or slippery sections and hills with short steep sections. Riders will encounter obstacles and technical trail features.

Just outside the town of Esperance nestled in with a bunch of other sports is a fun trail that maximises the smile value as you twist and turn for over 10 kilometres.

Relatively flat with good line of sight and well signposted the Piggery is a friendly location for the traveling rider.

While the there has always been riding near the town this block is access by most riders by car. There is a gate to go through and a shaded car park with a trail head sign and a range of structures to play on. With a compact but predominately sandy soil the trail is at its fasts after a little bit of rain and the whole block is on a mild slope dropping to the south. This means that when you leave the carpark you gently roll to the right as you tackle this network counter clockwise. The slope of the block also makes navigation relatively easy despite the fact you are twisting and turning all the time. About halfway through the ride you can short cut back to the carpark but this misses some of the bigger faster sections of trail in the eastern end of the block.

The main loop is now up to 15kms. Mostly sandy trails with some rock sections. This is a great track for building endurance or just to have a fun ride if you live in the area or are visiting. Great views of the bay from the top. Some small bridges, log roll overs and a few jumps. One black diamond tree feature. Lots of kangaroos.
