Need to Know

  • Trail Start (Loop)

    End of Point Peron Road, Shoalwater
  • Degree of Difficulty

    Moderate - Moderate level of fitness and experience required.

    Difficulty is dependent on weather, wind and wave conditions.

  • What to Pack?

    + paddling equipment and snorkelling equipment if you wish.

    Group A (Urban trails or short trails near facilities) required.  Show Pack

  • Best Time of the Year

    Usually best in the morning. September to May. Penguin Island is closed for penguin breeding June to September.
  • Facilities

    There is a ferry service to Penguin Island. No shop on the island but a cafe and kiosk on Mersey Point.
