Easy hike all in all. Start is a little steep and rocky but pretty simple really, there were people running the track so that’s how easy it is

Easily the best walk close to Perth. Its so beautiful, challenging yet easy. The track is well maintained and sign posted. There is a few steep areas but it is well balanced. You are well awarded with beautiful view. It can get quite busy. The parking area is just a dirt road, with plenty further along the road, I had no problem parking in my tiny car at the initial car park (just meant we had to walk an extra 500m to the start on the hike).

A beautiful walk, with something for everyone! The first part of the track is well developed and undulating, with interesting interpretive signage explaining the flora, fauna, history and landforms of the area. This section is popular with families; we walked it on a sunny Sunday in winter and it was quite busy. The second section sees the trail narrowing and cutting through the bush and uphill, following Piesse Brook. This section is quite steep, but the views of the valley once at the top are a nice reward. The downhill section is quite precarious, so proceed with caution. All in all, a lovely, short trail that is both enjoyable and challenging.
