The elevated boardwalk immerses visitors in a bushland experience as they journey to the summit.  Stretching over 200m, the boardwalk incorporates interpretive signs, seating, artwork inspired by life in a Tuart tree and 14 timber landings to take in the views.  Restoration planting using local, indigenous plants enhances the existing flora which features banksias, wattles, quandongs and other limestone loving plants such as the Cockies Tongue. Over 80 species of birds, brushtail possums, bats, frogs, and reptiles including geckos, lizards, skinks and snakes also inhabit the area.

Over 15 kilometres of walking and horse trails dissect this beautiful park and suit various fitness levels. A map and brochure can be accessed at www.bgpa.wa.gov.au or is available at the Western Australian Ecology Centre, Perry Lakes Drive, Floreat.

Visited first time in 2017 when I began the Caterpillar Dreaming walk with local Noongar Elder Uncle Noel Nannup. Amazing views with some beautiful aboriginal history.

Great park area. Loved the green space with tress and shade everywhere. Nice inclines on the bush walk and fantastic views of the city. Worth the trip.

A lovely short walk from Perry House to the summit with really great views of the city, ocean and the hills. Went at sunset on New Year's Eve; sure beats the crowds over at the beach. It's listed as a dog-friendly park and I'm always looking for nice places to take my dog. However, be warned, the boardwalk is not a boardwalk at all. It's a cattle grid style walk, which is perfectly fine for humans wearing shoes, but definitely not good for tender doggy feet. Didn't explore any of the other trails as we were running out of daylight, but will certainly go back there again, with the dog, to try out the many other trail options. There's a really great skateboard park at Perry Lakes too and it was lovely to see fathers and sons skating there together.

The top of this walk features some of the best views of Perth and out to Rottnest Island. I suggest walking the connecting trails in the lower sections and finishing at the top. Earn the views and enjoy a mini summit experience.

The Boardwalk is a great lookout with some nice views, easily accessible from a carpark or if you walk any of the trails starting from the Perry Lakes side of Bold Park. Also take the trail opposite the boardwalk along the top of the hill for some nice views of the ocean. Bold Park is a nice bush park close to the city, definitely worth checking out and even have a picnic in Perry Lakes. Watch out for the Kookaburras - they may eat your food!

I wouldn't really class this as its own walk, as its a tiny part of what's available at bold park. But the views from the top are pretty cool. Keep in mind the carpark at the top of bold hill can get full quickly on weekends. As a previous commenter said, I recommend walking up the scenic walk from Perry House and then taking some of the other trails through the park. You can get some good views of the beach and the city from the trails as well. Bold park was my go-to exercise destination for a long time when I lived in the area - the hills and loops make it a good training spot for extended hiking trips. You can even take your dogs (on-leash) which is nice.

In itself, the walk up the boardwalk is very short. However try walking up Reabold Hill from Perry House, then continue to do the Zamia Walk around Bold Park, and finally treat yourself to one of the best views of Perth by going up the Summit Boardwalk, It's a wonderful end to a great walk! Cool off up there, have a packed lunch and drink then walk down Reabold Hill again to the Perry House carpark. A lovely walk to do on a spring morning when the flowers are out!

Very short trail up to a lookout. Great spot to take visitors as the views are fantastic.
