Mount Nameless is called Jandunmunha in the local Aboriginal language.

The start of the trail is a ten minute drive from the Pilbara town of Tom Price. Head out of town on Mine Rd and right turn onto Nameless Valley Drive (towards the Tom Price Tourist Park), cross the railway line and take the first gravel road to the left. Follow the road around until you see the track heading up the hill on your right.

Use low range and take it slowly. You will want to take in the amazing views out to the west on the drive up.

Once at the top there is a short walk trail to the edge of the mountain where you can see right down into the Rio Tinto iron ore mine workings. Look for the railway line and if you are lucky you may see a train coming in to load or leaving the mine site. The trains are up to 2.4 km long and weigh 29,500 tonnes when fully loaded!

Use low range on the descent to avoid over-heating your brakes.

You can also walk to the summit on the 4.5km walk trail.  It's grade 4 and should only be attempted in cooler weather.

A decent hike wasn't difficult I went with my 3 kids aged 8,10,12 and they had a great time and didn't find it difficult, the hike took us just over an hour.
