A fairly easy 3 km walk through some lovely bushland at the base of Merredin Peak.
This trail traverses a variety of habitats from Wandoo woodland to tamma thickets. The bush to the east of the trail is the home of the rare Mallee Fowl. Kangaroos, echidna and a variety of snakes and lizards are found in the reserve while most of the common bush bird species of Wheatbelt can be seen seasonally over a year. This trail links with the Rock Trail or you can return directly to your starting point.

Trails are free and bring so many benefits to our community by providing opportunities to have fun, get fit, socialise, explore and challenge yourself. But they also have to be managed and maintained which only is made possible through terrific sponsors, donations and/or volunteering.
