Starting at the Cobblestone Street carpark in the Bunbury city centre the trail winds its way around the inlet past the Mangrove Board Walk.

Usually only occuring 800km away, north of Shark Bay, this community of white mangrove is considered unusual in its isolation and is a conservation priority. The Leschenault estuarine system is internationally significant with a high diversity of microfauna, surrounding vegetation in good condition and large numbers of migratory water birds protected under international agreements.

The trail passes several cafes and spots where you can stop for a picnic and if you have time there are a couple of fantastic short detours to take advantage of.

The Dolphin Discovery Centre is directly across the road from the lookout and offers interactions with wild dolphins, tours, an interpretive centre and cafe. The nearby Koombana Bay Foreshore development includes a childrens playground, swimming, picnic facilities and a cafe.

Great walk in Bunbury, the mangroves are a sight to behold, and along your walk you can always stop at one of the cafes along the Leschenault Inlet.
