Hilltop Walk, Kununoppin

Overview

The Hilltop Walk is a moderately difficult walk that wanders through scrubland at the base of a large granite outcrop before ascending granite slopes in the Billyacatting Hill Nature Reserve.

About the Trail

The Hilltop Walk, in the Billyacatting Hill Nature Reserve near the wheatbelt town of Kununoppin leaves from the car park and heads through scrubland at the base of a large granite outcrop. The trail then heads up granite slopes with stunning views of the surrounding reserve and countryside. After crossing numerous granite slopes, the trail ends at a large cairn at the peak with 360 degree views.  Return via the same route.

This trail shares the trailhead with the Woodland Walk and can be joined for a longer walk.
