From the 4WD car park, this is a leisurely walk of just under 2 kilometres, mostly on a boardwalk, through shore terrace rain forest to Dolly Beach.  It is an isolated and picturesque sandy beach with a coral reef and a freshwater stream.

Robber crabs, the largest land crabs on earth, inhabit the area above the beach and turtles nest all year round. Take a dip in the rock pools, please be aware of rogue waves.

Dolly Beach is a designated camp site and camping permits can be obtained from Christmas Island National Park HQ.

I was up there a few years ago and what a fantastic experience! You have to do this if ever on the island.
