Nice and easy sealed trail suitable for kids and prams. Can also be made into a number of different shorter loops as there are paths on both sides of the river in some sections through the town centre. If you are a more serious hiker, start at the north end of this walk (or in the centre of town, Soldiers Park) and walk south/west to Minninup Pool on this trail. Then continue on west from Minninup Pool along the river to Mungalup Rd to pick up the Bibbulmun Track there, go northwards up to the Bibbulmun-Collie-townsite-spur trail and then head eastwards back into town past the Collie Ridge Motel. Wander through town past many of the townsite murals to complete the loop - probably around 18-20km but I forgot to record it sorry.

Had a really enjoyable walk with my daughter and dog recently. Completed the shorter section from Soldiers Park, east to the road bridge, across the river and back on the northern bank. Lovely red bitumen, the East End Rail Bridge is a nice highlight. PRO TIP: When you get to the eastern road bridge, short detour back towards town to the Federal Hotel for a refreshment or lunch!

Easy nice ride along with river and into town. Could have been better marked in some places.
