Take the opportunity to visit Lane Poole Reserve near the townsite of Dwellingup where you can enjoy this walk and many other trails and activities.

This moderate hike from Chuditch Campground to Nanga Mill and back winds through the Jarrah forest, lined with impressive stands of grass trees and the occasional glimpse of the Murray River. Much of the walk is on wide tracks with gentle gradients, besides a few hills here and there. There are plenty of facilities along the way, including campgrounds, picnic tables, car parks and toilets.

The chuditch (western quoll) from which this trail takes its name is a small cat-sized marsupial with soft brown fur and white spotting. Small populations of this protected species may be found within the reserve.

This walk through the forest was very enjoyable, though as a previous reviewer has mentioned, it was about 9km (not 7km as stated). I saw some lovely Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos and Fairy Wrens. I walked from the Chuditch river access to the Nanga Brook. I'm glad I had a printed map to make sure I stayed on the trail.

Walked this trail today. Started from Nanga Mill. Really enjoyed it. Had a swim at Island Pool. However, as the previous comment says, finding the start is challenging. There is a sign with all the walks but the Chuditch triangles are nowhere to be found. I had a GPS with the track downloaded from this site so found it quite quickly. However, the track from this site is not 7 kms long. It is closer to 9 kms. The sign at Nanga Mill says it is 7 kms but the trail shown on the sign is not the same as the one I downloaded. Anyway, it was a great walk.

Chuditch walk trail is a good 2 hour walk, once you find the start of it. Suggest a big sign at the start as many people could not find the coloured triangles until you find the trail.
