Carmel Walk, Pickering Brook

About the Trail

The Carmel Walk is a moderately easy loop walk through the native bush of the Korung National Park in the townsite of Pickering Brook, located 15 minutes (12kms) south east of Kalamunda in the picturesque Perth Hills.

The trail commences at the corner of Anembo and Morton Road, where a large gravel rock on the south side of Morton Road marks the start point of the walk, indicated by an oblong Kalamunda walk trail sign. The walk is signposted with red triangle trail markers.

A well-formed track winds through the unspoilt woodlands, taking in the vivid sounds and sites of the Australian bush and its wildlife. The walk can be completed in two separate sections, the second section offers you the opportunity to view some of Pickering Brook's farmland and stunning fruit orchards.

The park comes alive during the Australian springtime, September to November, when wildflower season is at its peak.

The walk trail map is available on the Shire of Kalamunda website.
